ATTORNEY ERIC W. DYSERT
Born and raised in the Ohio River Valley, Attorney Eric W. Dysert knew he wanted to be a criminal defense lawyer for as long as he can remember. An avid golfer, Eric was a member of the Muskingum University Golf Team, until his graduation Magna Cum Laude in 2006.
After earning a Juris Doctorate degree from Ohio Northern University and passing the Ohio Bar in 2009, Eric began his career defending good people accused of being on the wrong side of the law.
During his first jury trial in 2010, Eric helped win a Not Guilty verdict in a highly publicized Canton, Ohio rape case. He has continued to represent his clients with the same level of intensity ever since.
Since joining the law firm of Koenig & Long, Eric has practiced exclusively in the areas of criminal and traffic law, with an emphasis on drunk driving and misdemeanor defense. Eric now leads our firm’s drunk driving and misdemeanor trial practice, where he has continued to receive outstanding results for many of our clients.
Eric is certified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for successfully completing the same training that is required for law enforcement officers to conduct roadside Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Eric also lectures regularly about common mistakes officers make when administering those field sobriety tests, mistakes that can often make those test results and subsequent breath tests results inadmissible in a court of law.
